Acireale to Temple of Segesta

Overview

The Temple of Segesta is a well-preserved Doric temple in Sicily, located at the foot of Mount Barbaro. It was built in the 5th century BC by the Segestans, a people of Elymian origin who lived in the area. The temple is dedicated to a local goddess, who was probably worshipped in the form of a dove. The temple is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Sicily, and is known for its impressive architecture and beautiful setting.
