Bantul is a regency in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It is located on the southern coast of Java island, and is bordered by the city of Yogyakarta to the north, the regency of Sleman to the west, the regency of Gunungkidul to the east, and the Indian Ocean to the south.
Surakarta, also known as Solo, is a city in Central Java, Indonesia. It is the capital of the Surakarta Regency and is located about 60 km northeast of Yogyakarta.
