Caminito del Rey

The Caminito del Rey is a walkway, pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Ardales in the province of Málaga, Spain.

The walkway is about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) long and hangs about 100 metres (330 ft) above the river below. It was built in the early 20th century to provide access to a hydroelectric power plant, but fell into disrepair and was closed to the public in 2006.

The walkway was reopened to the public in 2015 after a major renovation.
