The park is 20 miles (32 km) northeast of Bloomington, Indiana, and 40 miles (64 km) southwest of Indianapolis, Indiana.[3] It is Indiana's largest and most visited state park, with over one million annual visitors.[2] Brown County State Park is known for its scenic beauty, including rolling hills, deep ravines, and hardwood forests.
