Icaria is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea. It is the most remote inhabited island of Greece, located about 10 nautical miles (19 km) southwest of Samos and 21 nautical miles (39 km) southeast of Mykonos. The island has an area of 255 square kilometres (98 sq mi) and a population of about 8,000. Icaria is known for its beautiful beaches, its rugged mountains, and its laid-back atmosphere.
